Each Hindu temple is adorned with representation of Nine celestial bodies which control our destiny. They include Surya (Sun), Chandra (moon), Mangal (Mars), Budha (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter), Shani (Saturn), Shukra (Venus), Rahu and Ketu. There are no physical entities denoting Rahu and Ketu. In our temple, Navagraha Pooja is performed every Saturday around 11 am. On Makara Sanktranti when the sun enters Uttarayan, priests invoke Aditya Hridayam.
